Recent Projects

I went to my most favorite craft store in the whole wide world...Ben Franklin Crafts in Kaysville. I was so excited about my projects I actually finished them all within a week of buying the supplies. A miracle!

I saw a cute wooden Valentine's Day decoration as soon as I walked in the door, but decided to wait and see if there was something I like more. As we were on our way to check out I decided to go back to the front and purchase it- all 4 were GONE!! I was so bumbed. So I had to get my saw out and cut this one from Mike's wood scraps. Ended up being the cheepest decoration b/c I had all the materials at home.

Temple Blessings

Saw this damask paper and thought it was so cute. My first time using modge podge.

I have already made these glass blocks for Christmas, but ended up giving the one I made for our family to Mike's secretary for Christmas. I made this new one with the idea that I will change the ribbon around the block to coordinate with the current holiday. I love having this "nite lite" in my kitchen.
*to drill a hole in bottom of block I used a diamond round bit on my drill. It was just big enough to out in a sting of 20 white corded lights one at a time.

Cute things, Emily! How do you put the light in the glass block? Isn't it a solid block? Loma made me one with the Temple on it that says Families are forever for Christmas but it doesn't have a light it in. Your family is so cute. I love seeing how they are growing. Bet you are enjoying being back in Utah around family again. Isn't it just the best to have family close by? If you ever want to come to CA, you always have somewhere to stay with us, if you'd like. We have 5 bedrooms and just the 2 of us here now, so we have plenty of space here for you here at the hotel Denkers.

And like I always say, homemade is best anyway.
Fun seeing pictures of your kids. I enjoy your blog even though I usually quietly lurk about. :)

GREAT projects!! You are amazing! The last time I attempted a cute project like those was Super Saturday in October. I only finished one that I started....and that was because a friend took pity on me and finished it for me.

I need your drive and motivation!! Way to go!!

fun projects, too fun...love to see what others are crafty at! they have these block letters like ur Love one at Quilted Bear for $30...I loved the ideas they had for them...they had a "Family" cutout and modge podged it with scrapbook paper in blues and browns, it was adorable...it was huge and was meant to sit on the high ledge of a wall...

Emily, the "Joy" glass block you gave us for Christmas is still up. Everything else got put away the day after Christmas, but LeGrand wants to keep that lighted "Joy" up all year! Thanks.
