Livin' It up in Park City

We loved this Staycation!
Mike found a timeshare that wasn't being used at Summit Watch in Park City and rented us an apt for a week. The place had a great pool, hot tubs, game rooms, and was right near downtown Park City

July 4th

The game center had all sorts of activities for the kids. Face painting for the 4th. Huge game of Chess. lots f board games and XBOX, Wii, Playstation. Air Hockey (my favorite), etc. Brigham spent his whole time there.

Park City 4th of July parade
A well deserved nap for dad after toting Jess around the whole parade.
Boys participated in a pie eating contest.

Tyler even beat the big boys in his 2nd heat. Winning a popcorn and free movie rental.

Fireworks that night at a nearby park.

July 5th
4 wheeling over the mountain in Midway into Mineral Basin.

Then we hiked up, up, up to Pittsburgh Lake. Which is on the back side of Snowbird. Only 1.5 mile, but straight up and rocky!!!

Notice: Mike is carrying Miss Jess, the food bag and the cooler up a steep, rocky mountain side.
How does he do it?

The wildflowers this summer have been absolutely beautiful! All sorts of flowers in tons of colors.

On the other side of the lake there was an old miners cabin, I think the oldest carvings we could find were from 1959. not sure when the mine operated, but there were hundreds of land claims for mining throughout Mineral Basin and Dutchman's flat

Dad carved our initials in one of the posts

Some of us took a raft for a spin out on the water, but when Brig saw this snake he wasn't going any where near the water. Then we saw one in the rocks right by where we had stashed our shoes!

After a swim and yummy lunch, we were ready to head down the mountain. Jess makes us put our hands in the middle and shout "Goooo Rockets!"

Going down was hard too with all the rocks and sliding.

That night K, A and I went to the Oakley Rodeo,
which was Awesome!!!
