Recent Projects

I went to my most favorite craft store in the whole wide world...Ben Franklin Crafts in Kaysville. I was so excited about my projects I actually finished them all within a week of buying the supplies. A miracle!

I saw a cute wooden Valentine's Day decoration as soon as I walked in the door, but decided to wait and see if there was something I like more. As we were on our way to check out I decided to go back to the front and purchase it- all 4 were GONE!! I was so bumbed. So I had to get my saw out and cut this one from Mike's wood scraps. Ended up being the cheepest decoration b/c I had all the materials at home.

Temple Blessings

Saw this damask paper and thought it was so cute. My first time using modge podge.

I have already made these glass blocks for Christmas, but ended up giving the one I made for our family to Mike's secretary for Christmas. I made this new one with the idea that I will change the ribbon around the block to coordinate with the current holiday. I love having this "nite lite" in my kitchen.
*to drill a hole in bottom of block I used a diamond round bit on my drill. It was just big enough to out in a sting of 20 white corded lights one at a time.

McDonalds take me away...

Yes sometimes I get overwhelmed and seek some down time. It is a weakness I must admit. That is when we head to McDonalds for some R&R.
Plus with air quality being so bad this week McDonalds is the best indoor place to play

Katelyn brought along an electronic Yatzee game because she says McDonalds is for little kids

Briggy the slide monitor

Tyler shooting some hoops

Katelyn finally decided to play

Jalapeno Peppers?

Decided to go crazy in decorating the half bath off the kitchen. Jalapeno Pepper Green from Pottery Barn Fall colors. I did this back in October and I am still enjoying it. Glad I took the plunge.

Bambi

Deer are common guests in our backyard, but it is not often that we see this many at one time. There was one small 2 point buck with a herd of 6 doe. Pictures were dark, as it was evening.
