Happy 34th Birfday Mike!

On a nicer note...

Happy Birthday Mike!

I do love you. You are a wonderful, helpful husband and an awesome Dad. Christian is walking around the house crying for you as I type.
We love you! Hope you have a good day!

I asked the kids what we should do for Dad for his birthday and Katelyn said to "Take him to Chuck-A-Rama!"

New additionS-yes plural- to our family

Mike is really into husbandry lately!

Animal husbandry...
He is really trying to shorten my life span.

Is it appropriate for us to tattle on our spouse to their parents when they are being naughty? In hopes that the problem will be fixed and they will get some "Time Out" or be told to apologize or even better fix their wrong doing?

Mike- only Mike, and maybe a few of our children- is the proud owner of 9 new birds- yes FOWL!!!

4 ducks

and 5 turkeys!!! He has purchased 6, but we lost one already. After he lost the first one he went back to the IFA to get ONE for a companion and came home with FOUR new ones.

Ironically the Saturday he bought his new foul, one of our adult female Roens began to sit on her clutch of 19 eggs. Just great!

Welcome Madison!

We were able to go up on Sunday and meet Miss Madison Mae!
The girls had been excited all week when I told them my idea for the visit. Katelyn must of said 100 times "I am so excited for Kaye!"

She is such a doll! Katelyn and Briggy are glad to share their white streaks with her!

Amy Mae holding Madison Mae

Just kicking myself that I didn't get a picture of Jessica and Madison together!!!
That just means we will have to make another visit to Logan soon.

When we got the two new girls together we couldn't believe how big Jessie was compared to Madison.

JNB: 2 months

Can you believe it? Where does the time go? When I was pregnant with Jess I thought to myself... "Emily, you really should be enjoying this pregnancy and take note of the little things because this might be the last time." I just couldn't find it in myself to enjoy the pregnancy, even if it was the last time.

NOT SO
with little Jessica. I am relishing every moment, every smile, every sound and all the smells. Time is already rushing by too fast with our pace of life!

At two months old:
13 lbs 5 oz
23.5 inches long
Loves to be held so she can sit up
Smiles when we talk to her
Is a really good baby!

What a Blessing Jessica is!

I had a moment with her in the mother's lounge before sacrament meeting began and we were taking some glamour shots. Really missing Grandma Marcia.

So grateful for her wonderful daddy! How wonderful it is to have the priesthood restored to this earth. At times like these, through the priesthood, Jess can receive a blessing for her journey here on earth. Mike gave a her a beautiful blessing from our Father in Heaven. Such a special time for her to come to our family!

Four generations
My grandparents from Louisiana are here for the wedding and they were able to be here for the blessing too. My Grandpa has been able to stand in for all my girl's blessings.

After Sacrament meeting we headed back to our house for a light lunch and some visiting. It was good to get everybody together! Thanks for coming and thanks to Brent and Lori for helping with the preparations- you saved my bacon!

Kaye's baby Shower

I hope I am not infringing on Kaye's territory, but I thought while I was cleaning up the camera and blogging I might as well....

On Saturday afternoon we met at Olive Garden in Layton to "shower" Kaye and her babe with our love. Matt's mom, sister, niece and nephew were there too. Kaye got so many cute outfits and blankets and such. Then later at David and Ronni's they got their travel system.

Looks like they are set.. just waiting for Maddie's arrival!
