Christmas at Disneyland
We decided a couple of months ago that we would go to Disneyland during Christmas vacation. Our girls had been to Disneyworld, but were so young that they didn't remember anything. So it was kind of a first time for all our kids.
Reservations and plans were made and tickets bought, but we forgot to schedul;e the nice, warm, southern CA sunshine. We were at Disney in the middle of that awful rain storm, but managed to have fun anyway.
The only hour it didn't rain was the first hour we were in the park. The lines were short and we were able to ride most everything. The Christmas decorations were amazing. The biggest Christmas tree we have ever seen.
The kids had a blast on the rides. We decided to do Indiana Jones first. Tyler's fears were building as we walked through the amazingly decorated line. They loved it when it was all over. The haunted house was a piece of cake and I had to make some bribes when we were on Splash Mountain. Despite all the rain and being soaked and freezing the kids did a great job. They walked and walked and there was no whining. They were happy campers!
Buzz LightYear's adventure was everyone's favorite, I think. We rode that a few times because there was no line. I liked Soaring Over CA. It was my first time going to CA Adventure.
Toon Town was a big hit and we were able to see Goofy and Mickey.
We were able to stay with some friends and visit Grandma D while on our way. It was good to catch up with these dear friends and let our kids get reacquainted every now and then. Mike took us down to Newport beach and we rode the car ferry across. That was the highlight of the trip for Brigham. We saw Tangled in 3D.

Fa la la la la!
The girls were a part of a holiday choir at school this year. They learned so many fun Christmas songs. It was the best concert we had been to. You could hear and understand all the parts and all teh words to the songs. They did a GREAT job!

Katelyn's favorite song to sing was "Suzie Snowflake"

I got to the school too late to get a good seat so all my pictures were too dark due to my distance.
Amy's favorite song to sing was "Where Are You Christmas?"

Kate and Amy with their friend from down the street, Lindsey.

Downtown
Brigham's 4th Birthday
We had Amy's baptism dinner and Brigham's birthday party on the same night. We figured "why not?" with everyone together.
While shopping earlier in the week I asked Brigham what he wanted for his birthday. he told me a train, BIG super hero and an octupus with a head. I have no idea where that last idea came about. Funny kid!

He knows if you've been good or bad...
Santa came to town for our ward party!
Katelyn asked for a guitar case. Looks likes she might be getting too big for Santa's lap. Those feet are almost touching the ground.

Amy asked for a nerf gun to shoot her brothers with

Tyler said he didn't ask for anything

Brigham asked for a Choo-Choo twain

Christian threw Santa's oranges at the waiting crowd. Finally he spotted the candy canes and decided he would sit on the big man's lap to get one!

Boy, oh, boy...

It's a GIRL!!!!

(I hope she will forgive me for posting this intimate picture)
A very healthy baby developing as she should! We feel so blessed and are letting the idea of another girl settle in our minds.
For some of you this might be an official announcement. I am 21 weeks along and doing well. Due March 28th. We can't believe this is our sixth baby! A girl will change things up. I told the ultrasound tech about our mix up with Christian not being a girl and she made sure she was 100% sure girl. I witnessed what she did and I agree too. But still a little part of me is untrusting since the shock of Christian. Time to get the girl stuff out!
On Monday night for FHE the girls made two signs: GIRL & BOY. I made everyone decide what they thought the baby was going to be and then sit by that sign. I took a guess too. We were all wrong!!

Amy is Eight!
What a special birthday for Amy! She has been anticipating this day for a long time. For her birthday she requested a donut cake for breakfast, McDonald's for lunch and Chuck E. Cheese for dinner! She had donuts for breakfast and we will see what else the day brings.
Amy is our soft spoken, smart girl! She loves all things that girls do. She is a whiz in school and fantastic reader! Amy is a great friend to everyone and her friends love to play with her. We love having Amy in our family!
As a part of birthday tradition we talk about the day they were born. So far Amy was my best delivery!

She loved her Uncle Bent

We pick up her birthday pictures today.. for another post!

Happy Halloween Again!
What a night! The weather stayed nice and calm until...5:30pm it began to pour! So bummed. The storm lasted almost the whole duration of trick or treating time! Luckily Uncle Brent, Lori, Jodi and Jill were here to take the big kids out while. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Mike, Christian and I stayed home to insulate the attic. Yes, that's right Mike chose this time to insulate our attic. In between shoving rolls of insulation up into a tiny hole in our master closet I would run down to the door and hand out candy. Makes ya think about where your candy came from next time you go trick or treating.
Our annual gooey, grotesque dinner.
Same menu as last year: jack-o-lantern pizzas, monster toes, green slime, bones, bloody soup etc.

Monkey Brent and kiddles
Change to the previous line-up: Katelyn went cheerleader or I say "1/2 cheerleader" since she is only wearing a shirt

Christian "helping" hand out candy

Tyler's Loot

A very happy Brigham

Both Ty and Brigham left the house with very high spikes in their hair and they came back pretty wet and flattened out!
This years pumpkin patch. Amy- Frankenstein Kates- the tin man Tyler- skeleton, Chris- happy Jack, Briggy- night before halloween guy
