Go Tyler!!

This spring Tyler decided to take another try at soccer. He was the tallest on his team of boys the same age. When he wanted to get ahead of the ball he just blasted off and easily got ahead of the ball.

I realized I didn't have many shots of him actually with the ball because we were too busy cheering.

Stopping for some aqua

Obviously not paying attention to his coach(who, I just noticed, has nicely coordinating his shorts with the boys uniforms).

Great sportsmanship!
It was a great season! Ty ended up making 3 goals and had lots of fun!
Way to go Ty!

Firm Retreat to the Arizona Biltmore

In April Mike and I headed down to Phoenix for his firm's retreat. It was just a bunch of meetings for Mike with some good food here and there. I got to relax a lot!

We were able to golf 18 holes together at the course on the resort. My first 18! Mike practicing his short game.

The hotel was built in 1919. Heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was so beautiful and unique to what we are used to seeing. very true to the time period. It really was amazing. The detailing was incredible down to the furniture. I have a whole folder of just pictures we took of all the furniture. Ideas for the future!

The Wrigley family(Wrigley's Gum)has owned the hotel for most of its existsence.

The Pool

Every president since Herbert Hoover has stayed here. Lots of movie stars back in the day. They had pictures of Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe as guests. Maybe she played chess in this very spot.

This is the building our room was in. All buildings were made of block that were manufactured on site with a specific design for just this hotel.
It was a bit chilly in AZ. I had checked the weather and didn't bring a sweatshirt or anything. I was freezing.
I caught Mike relaxing once...

Be Our Guest

Katelyn took a musical theatre class again this year and she just had her end of the year performance. It was a medley of Disney songs from various movies. She did great and it was a great show!

Briddy Young & Briddy Black

Ducks: 4 weeks Old

and they keep growing!!!

Their growth has slowed a little while their adult feathers are coming in. Looks like we will have three girls. Yeah for me, but I am not convinced yet. Last time I was so hopeful for a girl I got a boy! Ha!

Spring is in the Air!

And my girls love playing with the camera.
It is just to beautiful to be inside so we grabbed some dinner and headed to the park. The trees and flowers are in bloom and they are beautiful.

Ducklings : 3 weeks old

Are you surprised to hear they are ALL still alive? We are just as surprised!!

It has been 3 weeks and we can not believe how much these little ones have grown.

At 2 weeks old, we began taking them outside a lot because they were crowded in that small box.

Then at three weeks they had definitely outgrown the box so we made them a new home in our outdoor yard box and put the smelly things in the garage.

So cute when they cuddle up to sleep!
I took this pic to show their tail feathers growing in. When we pick them up we can feel the hard strong adult feather that are beginning to come in.

Here they are at 3 weeks old. We still use the plastic box to transport them to the pond and back to the garage. When we put them in the box you can really tell how much they have grown. They are so big now that when they stretch their necks out they can see over the top of the box. They love being in the pond. Since they don;t have there adult water proof feathers yet they can't swim around for too long before they get cold and get out on the rocks to warm up. We still pull them in at night and will until the are about 8 weeks old.

21 days before!!!

I included this last pic so you can see how much the have grown in 21 days. Truly is an amazing thing!

In this season of growth it is fun to watch another of Heavenly Father's creations grow!
