What Happens in Logan....

....is always so fun! The kids had been wanting to go and see Kaye and Matt all holiday, but we never had a chance to go. We finally made it up over MLK holiday.
We went to this fun park place there in Logan and had dinner and played games and everyone went roller skating/blading for the first time. They had a blast! The kids talked about it the whole way home and Tyler begged for a pair of rollerblades for about a week after!

Briggy got to know the ground real well.

Katelyn trying out her brakes before she goes out on the rink.

Kaye and Matt were so good to help the kids out with skate and taking them around and around and around. It was a nice break for this preggy mommy.

BODY CHECK!

Even Christian had to try it all out.

Thanks Matt and Kaye!!

Playing in The Snow 2010

A big snow storm came after Christmas- was it those $!$%!@* rains following us from California?!!!
Anywho, we went up to Grammy and Papa D's to play in it with cousins.

They built snow caves in the front yard. They said they were "super comfortable". Briggy had been sick so he stayed warm inside with Grammy.

Christmas 2010

Wow am I way behind!!! Here go the catch up posts

Classic "waiting to go downstairs" picture. I have no idea why Tyler has such a grumpy look on his face. Maybe he was mad he had to wait for everyone to gather before he could go down the stairs. Or maybe he didn't want mom to waist time taking a picture of him. Who knows?!

Tyler did cheer up. He is discovering his stocking.

Brigham was being nice and patient here- letting Christian help him open a present. The boys always get some kind of jerky in their stocking from Santa. Christian is seen munching on one of those jerky sticks in about every picture we took.

This sword was given to Christian, but he soon lost interest and Briggy inherited it. Yeah!!

Amy showing me her loot.

Tyler got a skate board from his grandparents, but I only had a pic of Katelyn riding it.
Katelyn's one and only present- a case for her guitar. Finally!

The boys got a Nerf gun war set and we told Briggy he had to have glasses on to play. That was said after several of us had had near misses in the face! He was making sure he was protected.

Not the best Christmas we have had. Disneyland was a flop and that dissappointment carried over to Christmas. Next year Mike is in charge of Christmas- we should all be getting nice down comforters!

Christmas at Disneyland

We decided a couple of months ago that we would go to Disneyland during Christmas vacation. Our girls had been to Disneyworld, but were so young that they didn't remember anything. So it was kind of a first time for all our kids.
Reservations and plans were made and tickets bought, but we forgot to schedul;e the nice, warm, southern CA sunshine. We were at Disney in the middle of that awful rain storm, but managed to have fun anyway.

The only hour it didn't rain was the first hour we were in the park. The lines were short and we were able to ride most everything. The Christmas decorations were amazing. The biggest Christmas tree we have ever seen.

The kids had a blast on the rides. We decided to do Indiana Jones first. Tyler's fears were building as we walked through the amazingly decorated line. They loved it when it was all over. The haunted house was a piece of cake and I had to make some bribes when we were on Splash Mountain. Despite all the rain and being soaked and freezing the kids did a great job. They walked and walked and there was no whining. They were happy campers!

Buzz LightYear's adventure was everyone's favorite, I think. We rode that a few times because there was no line. I liked Soaring Over CA. It was my first time going to CA Adventure.

Toon Town was a big hit and we were able to see Goofy and Mickey.

We were able to stay with some friends and visit Grandma D while on our way. It was good to catch up with these dear friends and let our kids get reacquainted every now and then. Mike took us down to Newport beach and we rode the car ferry across. That was the highlight of the trip for Brigham. We saw Tangled in 3D.

Fa la la la la!

The girls were a part of a holiday choir at school this year. They learned so many fun Christmas songs. It was the best concert we had been to. You could hear and understand all the parts and all teh words to the songs. They did a GREAT job!

Katelyn's favorite song to sing was "Suzie Snowflake"

I got to the school too late to get a good seat so all my pictures were too dark due to my distance.

Amy's favorite song to sing was "Where Are You Christmas?"

We headed downtown to see all the beautiful Christmas lights on temple square! It was an suprisingly warm evening. We were able to catch a bit of the BHS choir concert. Christian ooohed and awwwed at all the colorful lights.

Brigham's 4th Birthday

We had Amy's baptism dinner and Brigham's birthday party on the same night. We figured "why not?" with everyone together.
While shopping earlier in the week I asked Brigham what he wanted for his birthday. he told me a train, BIG super hero and an octupus with a head. I have no idea where that last idea came about. Funny kid!
