It's Great to Be 8

Can you believe Ty Guy is 8 years old?!!!

We gave him his BYU uniform before school. He had fun celebrating and school and then he had a fishing cake and more presents that night! Legos! Fishing vest from Gma Midge!
The day after his birthday he attended his first den meeting. He was so excited to get his new uniform and stayed up way past bedtime looking through his new Scout book.
He had a great birthday and looks forward to his baptism next month!

JNB: 18 Months

Jess- You are such a doll! I absolutely love this age. You are learning things so fast and for the most part you are still so sweet, with a little bit of spice every now and then.

You are reaching new heights everyday. With all the fall activities you have enjoyed the different parks and have gotten good at climbing stairs and slides all by yourself. You really like to dangle off of high edges to make my heart skip a beat and I tell you "it's too scary" then you laugh. You love slides and swings. You love to play catch and even tell us to "pass" to you.

You are always trying to steal our glasses or sunglasses!

You love to put your hands in your pockets. Sometimes you push your hands so far into your pockets that you push down your pants!
You love the movie "The Lorax". You chant "Dorax, Dorax". If you are sad we can instantly cheer you up or pull you out of your slump buy suggesting "The Dorax".
You like to read books and usually have a couple in your arms.

You love to play with babies. You hold them and love them and shower them with kisses. We took you to see baby Gwen and you were sweet for a little bit, but then wanted to hold her yourself.

When you want to nurse you say "puh-puh". I have tried to wean you ,but you are not ready. I still end up sleeping with half of the night. We hang out a lot and you always try to imitate me, especially when I am getting after Christian.

For FHE you get excited when we sing "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" and you pop up all over the room.
You can fold your arms and say a prayer. This is your prayer "daddy home". You love your Daddy. If he is home you are under his feet, in his arms, or on his back. You and dad like to point your fingers at me and shout "No, no Mama"! Naughty, but cute!
You hate to see Daddy go in the morning and to soothe your anguish we have you push daddy's car and soon you happily wave goodbye.

We love you Jessie! Such a sweet darling!

Fall Sports

We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off! But it has been loads of fun!
Amy tried Softball for the first time and LOVED IT!! She was great at batting and usually hit off her coach pitch every time. Her favorite base to play was 2nd, but also enjoyed playing catcher. She played with a couple of her best friends and they had a great team! They even won the championship for fall ball with a 15-0 shutout. Way to go BLACK ICE!
(Thanks to Marcia for the action shots!)

Tyler tried FLAG FOOTBALL for the first time. By the end of the season he was full time QB! The first time he was QB he didn't like all the stress and said the ball was too big, but he kept at it and practiced and things got much better! His coach called him "BIG T" like his dad does! They had a great season and I think he might play it again.

We put Brigham in a soccer league this Fall with just boys his exact age. Had to get things right after last season's debacle! He was awesome! The first game he was pretty reserved. By accident he made a goal and caught "goal fever" again and that was it!! He is so competitive and was out to win! He has a great little team and coach that plays him a lot! It was so fun to watch his enthusiasm

Jessie and Christian are good to go to all these games and give their support.

And of course, where so we go after our big games days?????

Hogle Zoo Playdate

We get together for playdate in our ward each week as long as there is good weather. This past week we went to the zoo with are friends from our ward. We hadn't been to Hogle Zoo in a while and they have a whole new exhibit that was wonderful to see. The zoo is way under construction so we were sad we didn't get to play on the playground and drink from the lion water fountain or ride the train. But we are excited for the new changes!

Our friend had a zoo pass so we got to ride the carousel as many times as we wanted. Awesome!!</

From the Same Mold

We had some pictures taken of Christian since he is 3 now. I found the pictures of Tyler when he was 3. These two nut balls are so much alike.
