From the "B" to the Huge Golf Ball

We got some 4 wheelers for this crazy family to do some adventuring! First trip was to ride from the "B" on the mountain in Bountiful to Francis Peak above Fruit Heights. It ended up being about 40 miles round trip. We got up with the sun, pounded a dozen donuts and headed out!

About half way there is a beautiful rest stop at Farmington Pond.

Throwing Rrocks off the top down toward Morgan. It was a bit scary to be that close to the edge.

Hiking up to the FAA control towers also known at our house as the giant golf ball.

 

Looking out at Antelope Island and the ever diminishing Great Salt Lake

Yes we haul one 4 wheeler in the van and it fits with a bench seat still in the van. The other 4 wheeler goes in our little black trailer. When we bought the 4 wheeler and Mike told the kid to go on ahead and drive it up into the van... that little 17 year old cowboy gave him the funniest look! It was awesome!

Black Family Reunion

It had been three years since all the Blacks had been together in one place at one time. It was time for a family reunion!!

David and Ronni reserved the LC Lodge for the whole family all 45 of us!

The property had a lot to offer and we had a great time with the amenities! Pond with kayaks and canoes, volleyball court, beautiful yard and water features, BBQ, pavilion and much more...

Wyoming

Mike had to meet a client up at her property in Wyoming so we tagged along and made a weekend of it. We camped on her property which is on the Wyoming side of the Uintahs. Just beautiful!

 Mike and the boys went up early for a night before the girls. Amy had a softball tournament to finish. They went fishing and got to know the area.

 Our campsite. We didn't even pitch a tent. Just slept in the vans.

 We did some four wheeling around the mountain but didn't take any pictures. Lots of cows! the streams and rivers were plenty and fun! On our way home we stopped at Butterfly Lake in hopes to catch a fish... but it didn't happen... not even a nibble.

 I even lost my weights and line and Briggy was nice enough to go retrieve it.

Losing teeth

In our family we are a little behind when it comes to teeth...
 Katelyn got her first tooth at 13 months...well behind other babies. Our teeth come out later than other kids as well.
Brigham just couldn't stand to wait so long. He prematurely knocked out his first bottom tooth on a friend's trampoline. He hasn't lost the other bottom tooth yet. He began working his top tooth loose about a month ago. He ripped so many nerves or parts of the root or dry blood that the tooth began to turn grey. He got scolded for jumping the gun and complaining so much about how he couldn't eat well with a loose tooth.
Mike was helping him take off his shirt one day and it caught on his tooth and ripped it out! He was so relieved to have that tooth out and hopefully he learned his lesson not to rush it.

Barbers in the family?

Tyler and Christian are so a like in so many ways. Too bad Christian just cut his hair before preschool starts. We did our best to try to blend it, but.... at least it will grow back!
