Preschool Beware!

Christian is coming.....

He doesn't look too excited in these pictures and it was because he was mad at me for delaying him going into the school. He has been so excited to get started! I am excited to see how much he will grow and learn this year!

Come on mom... let me go!

Everyday he goes in and "writes" his name and answers a question
"Finally you are leaving!"

Sunnie and friends

Our neighbors at the other end of our street had a stray ferret come into their yard. They tried hard to find the owners, but never had any luck.
She asked us if we would be interested in taking the ferret...
KATELYN DREAMS COME TRUE!!!!

Katelyn just loves these animals and takes such good care of each and every one of them

This August we have had two batches of ducklings hatch. Lots of excitement and they are just so darn cute!!!

This little guy here is Nemo, he has a gimpy left side, and the other duck we kept so they could be friends.

Passes of All Passes

This summer we all go Season passes to Seven Peaks! we have been a handful of times. enough to go on every ride we dare to and bring friends and cousins with us. between the neighbors pool, Amanda's pool and Seven peaks these kids are turning into fish!

Smoky Skies

This was our sun set for a couple of days while the air was filled with smoke from all the forest fires. Yucky and sad!

Golf...golf...golf

For Mother's day Mike gave Tyler and I golf lessons with the Golf pro here in Bountiful. We had a great time and learned a lot. Not sure if we got much better than from when we started, but we felt a little improvement. Of course, we had to do our homework so we golfed a lot!
Practice, practice, practice!

Mike even set up a driving range in our back yard to work with and we hit all the local courses and ranges a lot.

I like golf. The environment is beautiful and relaxing ( no kids...quiet). You get a work out hauling that bag all over and up and down and I get to spend a lot of time with Mike.

We have enjoyed our golfing summer!

I think Valley View has been the prettiest golf course we have been to this summer.

Bountiful Ridge
 Check out that rainbow!

More 4 Wheeling

This time we went from Hobble Creek Canyon to Squaw Peak. About 40 miles round trip. Absolutely beautiful views and tons of wild flowers

Looking down on Spanish Fork. You can barely see the windmills at the mouth of the canyon.

We can around a tight bend in the road and it was blocked by some hunter and their jeep and 4 wheelers. We apologized for the noise and squeezed through the vehicles. He takes one look at us and says, "This is the helmet check station. you guys are good!" And gives us a thumbs up!
that had us laughing up the mountain!

With 8 people on two 4 wheelers... that's a lot of helmets in a small amount of space. We are constantly bobbing into each others helmets. See pic below for proof.  ha ha!

Stopped to look through Rock Canyon down at Provo. Back in the BYU days had many of activities at Rock Canyon Park
Made it to Squaw Peak and had a little lunch. Utah Lake is there behind the boys.

Just a magnificent drive.

After our long ride we headed to BYU for a 2nd lunch. They now have Chick Fil A!! And of course shopping for some BYU apparel.

This is where they took down the bridge that went from the WILK to the law school. Shut down that road that went in front of the WILK.
Now it is just a big concrete area with a place for buses to pull thru and drop off.
At the creamery Amy had M&Ms in her ice cream

From the "B" to the Huge Golf Ball

We got some 4 wheelers for this crazy family to do some adventuring! First trip was to ride from the "B" on the mountain in Bountiful to Francis Peak above Fruit Heights. It ended up being about 40 miles round trip. We got up with the sun, pounded a dozen donuts and headed out!

Screaming eagle!! Coolest helmet ever!

Climbing up on the "B"
Brigham working the helmet hair!
About half way there is a beautiful rest stop at Farmington Pond.
Throwing Rrocks off the top down toward Morgan. It was a bit scary to be that close to the edge.

Hiking up to the FAA control towers also known at our house as the giant golf ball.

Looking out at Antelope Island and the ever diminishing Great Salt Lake

Yes we haul one 4 wheeler in the van and it fits with a bench seat still in the van. The other 4 wheeler goes in our little black trailer. When we bought the 4 wheeler and Mike told the kid to go on ahead and drive it up into the van... that little 17 year old cowboy gave him the funniest look! It was awesome!
