Witches at Gardner Village

We took our annual trip down to Gardner village to see the witches! This year we took a few more friends!

Amy the pitcher and Riley the catcher

This year we fully participated in the Witch Scavenger Hunt. The kids get a yellow sheet of paper with ?'s/ clues helping them to find 15 or so witches throughout the property. After they complete it they take their paper to the bakery for a free cookie. Christian was so insistent on finishing- who would have thought?!

This year we got to see some live witches and their costumes were spectacular!

Brigham, was so sweet to get up on the stage and dance with Jess.

Tyler 9th Birthday Football Party

Tyler wanted to share his love of football with his friends for his birthday this year!!
(we have a rule set at our house that we can't have friend birthday parties until our 9th Birthday)

Tyler had waited for this opportunity for a looonggg time and he was very excited!

Pizza, pop, cupcakes and chips

We had some skill challenges: farthest kick & throw the ball through the hoop!

Way to go Jess!

 My happy helpers/ cheerleaders!
Handsome group of boys and not too bad of football players either!
 Photo bomb!
It was a fun filled 2 hours of all things boy including potty talk, burping, farting, snorting, armpit farting, wrestling, pushing and good old fun!

Happy 9th Tyler!!!

Little Tyler isn't so little anymore. Each year sneeks up on us and before we know it Tyler is another year older and wiser! This year 9 candles on the doughnut birthday cake he requested!

In the Denkers' family there are few birthdays around the beginning of October so we usually celebrate them with one big party!

Christian: Fall Soccer

Go KILLER BEES!

Christian #6

Watching Christian play soccer has been a blast! He is so full of energy! It probably seems like forever to him that he has had to sit on the sidelines and watch his brothers play. Finally, it is his turn and you can tell he has been to many a' soccer games. He is a pro!!

Those of you that know Mr. C well know how physical he is. No different in soccer! He better knock it off before he gets into yellow cards!
Most of the kids at this age hesitate and kind of wander around the field. Christian gets busy and takes it to the GOAL!!

His has this ceremonial drop and roll that he does after every goal he makes! It is the funniest thing!

Amy: Fall Comp Softball

Bountiful's VOODOO
AMY BLACK #1

Bountiful's 12U girls comp team asked Amy to be on their team for this fall.

Amy mostly played outfield with an occasional inning as 2nd Base. The team overall was a very rookie team and only won one game. Kind of a disappointing season after such an awesome All Star Summer. She kept a good attitude and worked hard.

In October, Voodoo participated in the Halloween Havoc Tournament in Spanish Fork. The teams dressed up in costume. Of course, Voodoo were voodoo dolls. I was surprised that there was only one other team that dressed up as something that had to do with their team name.

They never won a game, but had a couple of close ones. Amy played really well. Her team did end up winning the "Best Team Costume" Award and they all got a free matching softball t-shirt for winning. They were excited to get something from the tournament.

Brigs: Soccer

GO BLACK PANTHERS!!!!
Brigham is back on the same team he played with in the spring. A great group of boys and their coach is pretty good! They are undefeated so far!
This is the first year the team has had a goalie and really played defense. Brigham does not like being goalie.

Brigs is an animal on the soccer field! He gets the game and it is fun to watch him dominate. His team passes to one another and is good at staying in their positions. Brigham knows what is going on around him and reevaluates with every move. No more "huddle ball"!

After each goal, their coach will throw them in the air. They love it!
I thought this was a great picture!
(one of these days, the coach is going to throw his back out!)

Amy: Fall Rec Softball

GO PINK PIRATES!
Arrrggghhhh! #9

Amy wanted to play Rec softball so she could be wither best friend Riley.

She played mostly 1st and 2nd and then half way through the season her coach had her start pitching.

Amy was a great pitcher. She had too many strike outs to keep track of. The Pink Pirate's season started off rough due to their horrible coach, but the seasoned girls ended up pulling off some great games and wins at the end, when their coach wasn't able to attend. No joke!
