A True Labor Day

Grandpa likes to keep his living room at a roaring 98 degrees so we wanted to get him some wood to last through the winter. The Bunkers were nice enough to let us use their truck, tools and muscles.

Everyone got in on the action

Gpa, Brad and Mike would cut the trees, knock them down, and cut them up. The rest of us would get the pieces back to load the truck.

It was great for our kids to see some other hard working kids.
We have more cousins?
More cousins!

Adam was a hard working kid

Damon was very cute

All done and packing up

The beauty of a truck that just lifts and dumps all our hard work right where we wanted it.

It wasn't all work...we did play... a LOT!!

Grandpa Buckley took us to Geod Hill

We found some cool stuff.  Fossils, septarian nodules, rocks, horny toads, etc.
A beautiful day in San Juan!

On Monday we headed up to the Bunker's fields to put up a fence.

This is actual evidence that Amy did do some work. We now have a picture of this one time occurrence folks!

Pounding in the fence posts

The kids thought a drop in the bucket was a pretty cool reward for their hard work.

Jess wanted to ride in the bucket again so bad. She stuck real close to Brad to make sure she would get her chance. She finally fell asleep before that last ride. When we got home, for two days she would tell me "I want to go in Bret Hunker's tractor!" That just means we will have to go back again!

School... Shmool

How do you feel about going back to school?

Jess is the only one at home with mom.

Reuniting

Off they go

Mike packs lunches for the kids everyday. Being back in school means I find lunch portions of veggies and fruits hidden and stuffed in my fridge. Can you find the hidden grapes that were tossed up on the top shelf of the fridge? Little stinks!

To The Cabin...

For the last couple of months, in every prayer, Jessie has asked, "please bless that we can go to JRB's cabin".

We finally made it! Some fun before we head back to school!

Too many cute girls on a 4 wheeler

clara and chris rode with me

The Wickles joined us for a bit and we drove around the mountain. It was fun to get to know their family, learn about all the bad words in the English language and catch up on their news and happenings.

The boys rode and rode and rode these dirt Bikes!
