Ogden's Train Depot

Went up to Ogden to see the Disney Train promoting the new movie "A Christmas Carol" with Jim Carey.

We watched the trailer for this new movie and Katelyn and Amy both said they didn't want to see it. It was pretty scary with all the ghosts and being 3-D. I would highly recommend it for adults though.

Briggy is obsessed with Choo Choos right now. We had a great time.

Biking Park City

We packed up the trailer with our bikes and headed up to Park City to ride around and see the fireworks at The Canyons.

Stopped for a treat at Cold Stone

Yes!! He is feeding our 2 month old ice cream. I fought him on the first three kids, but have now just given up.
No wonder why they all have sweet tooths.

We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was a beautiful day!

Now there are no more pictures of our adventures because our camera ran out of battery. A month or so ago I dropped my brand new camera and the LCD screen broke so I can't see anything of what I have taken or see if the battery needs to be charged. I took some pics with my camera phone, but can't figure how to get them off.

We ended up not staying for the fireworks at The Canyons. We headed down to Provo and got hotel there. The Freedom Festival was going on and there was lots to see and Los Hermanos was yummy. Then we went to 4th of July parade there in downtown Provo.

We biked around BYU's campus to look at how much had changed. Mike took some kids so the baby and I could take a nap at Kiwanis Park after lunch. I must have said a dozen times that I was so glad to be in Utah. The weather was beautiful.
We drove around PG and looked at our old house and the temple. We headed over to visit Jay and Ada and they fed us a yummy BBQ.

The girls and I went to Stadium of Fire featuring Jonas Bros and She Daisy. We screamed and screamed. Mike and the boys rode their bikes around and did some fireworks. The concert and fireworks were amazing. It was cloudy and cool when the concert began. During the opening prayer the man giving the invocation asked that the elements would cooperate so that we could celebrate our Nation's birth. As soon as he said that that big heavy cloud stopped moving over us and pretty much dissipated. Katelyn noticed what was going on and said,

"Mom look. Heavenly Father stopped that cloud. I am sure He wants to see the fireworks too. I am sure He can see the fireworks from heaven."

It was a spectacular show and 4th of July!

Missing a ....

tooth!!! Amy lost one of her front teeth while eating some yummy summer corn on the cob.

Touring the Conference Center

Mike's home teaching companion gives tours of the Conference Center during the week and suggested we head on down for a tour... so we did last Sunday after our Sabbath naps. The building is an engineering phenomenon and, of course, we were paying special attention to all the finish carpentry. Amazing! The artwork is awesome. Everything was awesome. A great Sunday activity.
Tyler on one of the fountains on the conference center roof.

Then afterwards we went over to look back at the conference center from Mike's office and get some pop and snacks. He has an awesome view of temple square.

Christian: Two Months Old

Much more head control this month and lots of SMILING!!

We love this little guy

Hill AFB Air Show

The Air Show from hell... I mean Hill Air Force Base.
On our way home after a very exhausting day Mike summed it up perfectly, "Well we can check this off our list.
Don't get me wrong- the air show was fantastic after it started. It was the getting there that was re-donk-u-lus ( all you "Bolt" fans out there)

This is us standing in line for over 2 hours waiting to get into the gates through the metal detectors. At least we could see the preshow frolm where we stood in line and dad had bought us a yummy "Sea World" lunch. We ate all our food in line so we had nothing left for the rest of teh afternoon.

This guy was doing all kinds of cool stunts.

This plane was dropping parachuters. Sorry no official names for the planes- I was still bitter from standing in line for so long.

Love, love, love this picture. The show is so loud, but Briggy was taking it all in.

The Thunderbirds

What a good Daddy!

The Pleasures of Nature

Up the Canyon

A Sabbath Day hike... most people would think that hiking isn't an appropriate Sunday activity, but in our family it is one of our favorite things to do on Sunday. We get to enjoy God's creations and spend time together as a family. Quite relaxing actually and it will be much more relaxing when Mike and I aren't having to carry someone.

What? Where are you going? We are NOT going across that!!!

He leads and I follow. This is me looking down at the treacherous creek we were crossing.

What fun is it if you don't get dirty?
