Christian: Six Months Old

Six months old is the beginning of one of my favorite times as a child is growing. Christian can sit on his own, so is a little more independent. He smiles ALL the time and is so excited to see your face! He is beginning to push up his arms when we give him some tummy time. He likes all his food so far and likes to snack on pretzel sticks and Cheerios.

The new thing he did this month was swinging for the first time. He loved it!

We've got lots of kids!!!

My Grandma and Grandpa Arthur came to visit us all in Utah
Thanks for coming!! We had a great time!

More Car Seat Canopies

I am just so excited about how easy these canopies are to make!!!!

This one is for Brook and Daniel and their little guy coming in January.

This is for Kellie and Scott's little girl coming in January

This is me (yikes) and Christian modeling the strap I made for Kellie's so she can use it as a "hooter hider" also- if she needs to. I made it from some alligator clips, D rings and extra material.

We love you Tyler!!

Happy Birthday Ty guy!!

This year Tyler wanted a Batman cake- so if you can't tell, that is the Batman symbol made of sprinkles.

As we were driving around today Tyler asked me if he was 5 "yet"? "What do you mean- yet?" "When exactly am I 5?"So I told him he wasn't 5 until 2:33pm.

Yes!! His Dad got him a BB Gun. I quite enjoyed shooting it myself. I need to get some practice so I can hit those deer.

What happens in Vegas...

So bummed I didn't think to take more pictures, but we were having that much fun or my hands were that full. One or the other.

We joined Mike for a couple of days in Veags while he had to go to a CLE conference.
We ate at the waaayyy to expensive Rain Forest Cafe

We went swimming a lot, but I never got the camera out. We also went over to our good friends the Faulkners. Last time we were together with Jared and Kathy we just had 2 little sweet girls and on Sunday night we had 9 kids running around. The kids all got along great and we enjoyed cathcing up with Jared and Kathy.

We loved our hotel room. Played in the big bath tub.

TY giving Christian raspberries

Amy on the Nintendo we borrowed

Katelyn is way into fixing her hair now. Finally!

My First Car Seat Canopy

and I say "first" because these are so easy to make that I have three more on the drawing board.

I made this for Ronni & David and their new little girl Brinlee Rae.

I swear by it...

When we were first married I tried a pyramid scheme to try to earn a fast buck- it didn't work.
I went to a "party" at my "friend's" house where they were showing/selling these felt activity books including gospel theme books. Perfect for my new little family and our FHE lessons. I bought a starter's kit and knew I was going to make us millionares by selling these to everyone I knew. Living the classic Utah County dream! I assembled all the books and they were cute, but so crappy. I still have most of them and they have all fallen apart. I should have listened to that rotten felling in my gut I initially had. The same feeling I have when I hear the words "Sally Foster".

I NEVER have parties selling something and I NEVER feel confident in recommending things to others because they probably won't feel the same way about it as I do.
With that said, I am going to endorse a product and recommend a fail proof cleaning method

I swear by this concotion I got off the internet.

For any stains on clothes including those nasty oil stains.

Make a paste of Borax and dish washing soap. Spread with an old tooth brush and work the paste into the clothing. Give it a good scrub. Let it sit for an hour or whenever you can get back to it. Rinse with the hottest water your hands can handle and then throw it in the wash with other like colors.

Tyler squirted a berry (very red)gogurt all over his very brand new nice polo shirt when we were out of town. I rinsed in cold water as soon as I could and not a stitch of red came out. When I got home I covered the spots in borax and whala!

I don't know about you, but when I am pregnant my maternity shirts are covered in oil spots. Your shirts could have been stained from the last pregnancy and this borax paste will fix them.

Briggy is constantly rubbing his mac and cheese mouth with his t-shirt. This paste fixes that.
Yesterday I took the boys to Wendy's and when I got Briggy out of the car he had oily honey mustard spilt all over his shirt. I already have a pile ready to paste up this morning.
I hope this helps someone else out there.

Now I also swear by Crest teeth Whitening strips. They so work!!!

Bear Lake with the Denkers

Amanda, my sister, planned a fun filled weekend up at Bear Lake, UT in the mountains outside of Logan. It was beautiful and we had a great time. Unfortunetly I didn't have my camera out much. I was playing a lot of Nurtz and I still have not been able to beat Ginny, but I am preparing for the next time I play her!

Labor Day in Blanding

Mike tried to recruit some friends from work to join us in Blanding for the Labor Day weekend, but it ended just being us that went down.
We played on the mountain and camped in Curt and Kristin's luxurious camper and drove 4-wheelers again and again. Enjoyed a great BYU game too! Thanks for all the fun!

Turns out Chritstian likes 4 wheeling too.

Deadman's Point- none of us died here

We saw lots of turkeys
