To the best dad in the world. last year I came up with this idea to take a picture of our three boys dressed in their dad clothes. Each year after, including this year, we put on the same clothes and see how much the boys have grown and how well they are filling in their "Dad's shoes", so to speak. They think it is a riot!
Jessie didn't like being left out!
To honor our dad this year we let him watch lots of golf, basketball, take a yummy nap and fed him Shrimp Avacado tacos for lunch.
We love our Dad!

Happy Birthday to Mike
For his 24th ;) birthday Mike ordered himself 10 baby Mallard chicks. Hopefully, these will leave us for the winter and return in the spring.
Crazy Hair Day
For collecting so many BoxTops the kids got to have a Crazy HaiR DaY at school!
P.S. Save us your BOXTOPS!
TYler chose the best Mohawk we could muster up with not much hair.
Amy and her friends came up with this do.

Tour de BYU
On Memorial Day weekend we headed down to BYU. Mike had bought some tickets to see Arabian Nights, which was awesome! We took our trailer full of bikes and rode all around the old stomping grounds.
There were some new baby mallards in the pond by Heritage Halls. Which by the way are now being torn down. I think we got to see Horne Hall for the last time. Thinking back I wish I had taken some pictures of the construction.
We caught some of the BYU baseball games
Rode all around campus
Of course, we had to stop at the Creamery for some yummy treats!
Jessie throwing a fit in the middle of the WILK. This is her new thing. When she doesn't llike what you are doing or where you are going she flips and flops on the floor like a fish.
Always good fun to go to BYU! Love that place!

The NEW UT Natural History Museum
AT the end of May we went on a lot of fieldtrips with Brigham's preschool class. We went with him to the new Natural History Mueseum up at the UofU. It was awesome. The building itself was amazing with the moderness and architecture, etc.
The had a little area called "Our Backyard" displayng the things that we would find on our own yards. Jessie loved playing in the water.
Christian was showing Sis Warburton a lizard.
They had these awesome animal costumes that the kids could put on and fly or run around the room. Great fun!
Then we headed to the dinosaur display and they all three got to see how big a dinosaur footprint was in relation to them.
By this point, their attention spans were gone and my hands were full so I don't have any more pictures, but there were 2 more whole levels of fun interesting things!
One of my favorite was this large tank that had the whole Wasatch Mountain range inside of it and you could fill it with water or drain the water out. On the mountains they had lines and labels for all the lakes that had occupied our valley and the time periods in which they were. I found that so interesting. We filled the tank up to Lake Bonneville and I showed the boys where we lived in Bountiful and how we would have been under water. So cool!
On our way out of the building Brigham found this treasure and want to pose with him. I would recommend the Museum if you have some time here in SLC. We will have to find you a coupon!

Mother's Day for Katelyn and Me
Mike bought an incubator a while back and katelyn had taken a great deal of time and effort to collect and incubate around 40 of our duck eggs. She waited over 30 days and finally some started to pip through their shells a couple of days before Mother's Day. Out of all those eggs 3 little ducklings hatched. You can see Katelyn is a great Mama Bird for them!
I had a fabulous Mother's Day. I got to take a delicious nap and didn't have to do the kitchen clean up or lunch. It was wonderful. After church Jessie was trying my shoes on. She loves to put on all our shoes!

No More Flooding
Standing water and mold on the foundation
We are just sick of having the basement flood so we finally regraded our front yard and fixed the gutter run off. Mike moved the sprinkler control box away from the front of the house. Hopefully, all our efforts will pay off and the basement will stay bone dry!
Mike rented a jackhammer and had the whole walk taken up in a couple of hours
Thanks to Jodi for giving us some much needed help
Brigham on the side doing his own "thing"
Everyone was real good about helping out! Surprisingly. No pics of Katleyn hauling all the sod. She was awesome help!
Redoing the sprinklers!
Thanks to our neighbors for letting us borrow their very cool, very handy dump truck MANY times!
Christian got to push the button to dump the dirt.
We added 3 loads of dirt to the front yard!
The grass is having a hard time with all the hot weather. So happy to be done with the whole project!

Spring Soccer Mania
We had the oldest 4 kids in soccer this past spring! We breath soccer for a bit- but it was fun and I kind of miss those spring evenings
Tyler hadn't played soccer since he was 4 or 5 so he did pretty well considering. He did make one goal and was a great team player. Usually his coach had him playing one of the forward positions.
Jessie and Christian sure were good to be toted along. There was a school playground nearby so that was fun for Christian and Jessie was good to sit with mommy and cheer everyone on.
Amy and Katelyn were on the same team this season. They were awesome defenders. There were some tough games with some opposing boys that were really fast runners. They tried their hardest and gave it their best and that was great!
Now one might wonder where the pictures are of Brigham. I am wondering that too. I can't get a hold of Mike to see if he has any on his phone- if he does I will post later. But I think I just never made it to any of those early morning Saturday games with the camera. He missed his team pictures because he was at Fathers & Sons.
What a pathetic mother I am!
I will say this soccer season was tough for Brigham because he had a 7 year old on his team that had legs twice as long as the rest. This 7 year old could run real fast and so the kids on the team figured why should they run if he would take the ball and make the goal in the end. Brigham's team did win every game, but Brigham never made a goal- not one the whole season! This was a big shocker for him and us since he had an average of 7 goals per game during the fall season. We will sign him up again for fall soccer with a different league that is more strict on ages and see if he can get his spunk back after being spoiled.
