Happy Veteran's Day

Every November, our school does this wonderful "Wall of Honor" honoring all the veteran's of the families at our school. I have always loved to go down the wall and read captions and look at the old WWII pictures. The men are so young, handsome and brave! I finally got on the ball this year and put up a few pictures to honor the veteran's in our family.

Great Grandpa Denkers served in WWII Navy in the Pacific

Great Grandpa Hal served in WWII in the Navy Air Corps because before he was drafted he was a pilot that would test B52s for Ford Motor Company

Great Grandpa Buckley served in the Army's 378th Engineering Combat Battalion in the Korean War

Amy was a part of the Veteran's Day assembly as one of the Andrews Sisters singing
"Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B". Amy was great and I am sure she will remember Veteran's Day forever. Everyone loved their little dance/song number!

Thanking the veterans in attendance

this cute veteran was excited to tell the girls he had seen the real Andrews Sisters!

Happy Halloween

Happy 10th Ty!

Tyler is now in the double digits! 10 years has flown by. So did the week of Tyler's birthday. As I look for pictures ,and there are none, I am feeling kind of bad for this guy. He had a basketball game on the night of his birthday so we had to celebrate with donuts in the morning.

Another night of the week Tyler chose a friend and we went to jump at Get Air. They had a blast! Afterwards, we went to In N Out for dinner and strawberry shakes.

MP Baseball

While Tyler does this...

Brigham does this! Yes folks he is asleep on the asphalt.

Ty mostly played outfield and was catcher for a game or two.

Slidin' Home!

Stealin' bases

Ty was on an 11U Comp team this fall that played in the Central City League in SLC and then they were in the Rocky Mountain League that had Saturday games all over. It was  a bit of a challenge playing up in age, but Ty hung in there. After some work with dad he got back to batting and that made the games exciting. He caught some nice fly balls too and learned how to steal bases.

A: Rowdie Katz

Amy is on a new softball team... Rowdie Katz!

We had a bit of a scramble to find a team for the fall, but Amy was able to make a team in the end. She had played with a few of the girls before on other teams so she was excited to get reacquainted. They had a good season as a beginner team trying to jell together. we look forward to spring ball.

She has become the designated bunter.
One game she got a triple on a bunt!

"Plays at 3rd"

Her coach plays her in the out field because she can "run like a gazelle" and get those fly balls.
She worked her way up to Short and 2nd base. During the Halloween tourney she even caught a ball with her dress!

Bump...Set...Spike

SHE MADE IT!!!
And because this mother is so behind the season has come and gone.
After all her hard work and practice she made the Volleyball team!!

Katelyn had a great first season. She learned and experienced a lot. She improved so much and was usually counted on to be the setter.

                                                                  While Katelyn does this...
                                                                     Christian does this.

One game in particular, Katelyn served it up! She had 5 aces and then the game point to win the set! It was the only game her JV team won.
