Witch Hunt by Pony

We headed to Gardner Village to visit the Barnyard Buddies and were surprised when we found out a million other people had the same idea we did. Little stress when I had to park in a field, but pleasantly surprised when we discovered the many Halloween festivities and costume parade.

Briggy was asleep for most of the pony riding so we let him look at the ponies from a distance.

Snowbird 10.17-18.08

Customer Appreciation weekend at Snowbird!! If you bring a can of food to donate you get a free ride (Normally $12 per person) on the tram up the mountain. You know I am a sucker for free stuff. The leaves have turned and the weather this weekend was b-e-autiful! We had a great time and plan to go back every October to be appreciated as customers!! The kids were off on UEA so we went up early to play and swim!

We were on the top floor left side. Breathtaking views of the mountain.

Fall colors

Rode the tram to the top of the mountain called Hidden Peak or something like that. I can't figure how to get the pics off of my cell phone so more to come when I figure it all out.

Goodbye Glengarry Circle

Best storytime ever!

Lake Catherine

Lake Sybelia

Sandspur Road

There was once a hole in a great big live oak tree. A perfect home for many animals. In late April of 2008 a few bees began to gather. They considered it a fine place to build their hive. Soon more and more bees joined them. There was lots of activity inside of the knot in the tree. So many bees came that the outside of the hole was covered in working bees. As the spring flowers bloomed the bees carried pollen into the tree. As soon as one bee landed we saw another take off on a journey for more pollen. In the month of May, some bees retired from their dedication to the hive. Bees began to drop in the pool and on the ground around the tree. Some bees flew away to new advetures. The beautiful hive was finished. In the end, we could tell a few bees stayed behind to make sure some new bees could use there hive next spring. Hope they love the hive as much as the bees that built it.

Really Never Easy, But Always Worth It

This is dedicated to my hard working hubby! Always amazed at your talents and stamina! Thanks for always providing a beautiful home for us! You deserve a rest.

This last blogging is for Mike. To document the transformation he did to our home in Orlando. We lived there at 1131 Glengarry from 12/04 to 8/08. Almost 4 years! He gutted the house and spent so much time and effort making it gorgeous! Cherry hardwood and detailed custom cabinet and finish work everywhere. Countless hours. By the time we moved there was not a square inch that had not been touched. Even the exterior had been trimmed and landscaped. Brings tears to my eyes to reflect on the house we turned into a home.

The Homestead

A couple of weekends ago Mike had a "retreat" (ie meetings) with his law firm at The Homestead in Midway, UT. I was able to tag along becuase we had very willing and wonderful babysitters to take our chillins. We went horseback riding in the drizzle and had a great time! The fall colors were beautiful even in the rain.

First Snow of 2008

Is it October or January? We are confused. We were the only people out this Sabbath morning playing in the snow-everyone else stayed in their warm beds.

We got our snow gear just in time!!!

Notice the Halloween decorations-

At least 6 inches
